Dave Lehrman

I started out by practicing in my parents’ basement at an early age. It wasn't pretty at first.  My Dad used to come down and ask "Do you know how to play Far, Far Away?"  It got better over time.  Spent a few years immersed in classical guitar study. Through fifty years and countless hours of wood-shedding, long nights practicing scales and too many bands to remember, the journey continues. A journey based on a love of music and a passion for creating. 

I am inspired by different things that lead me to work in a creative setting. Creating music collaboratively with other musicians is the ultimate turn-on.  And passing on knowledge to up-and-comers gives me great pleasure as well.

My interests lie in rock, blues, folk, Americana, country, classical and traditional music.  Early influences were James Burton, Scotty Moore, Mark Knopfler, Julian Bream, Ry Cooder, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Jorma Kaukonen, John Cippolina and countless others.
